Privacy Policy.
Last updated: January 1, 2025. Your privacy is fundamentally important to us.
All image compression occurs entirely within your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your images are never transmitted to, stored on, or accessed by our servers — ever.
1. Information We Collect
We collect as little information as possible.
Usage Analytics (Google Analytics): We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised information about how visitors use our website — pages visited, browser type, device type. IP addresses are anonymised.
Contact Form Data: If you contact us, we collect your name, email, and message solely to respond to your inquiry.
We do NOT collect: your images, compressed output files, or any personal details unless you provide them voluntarily.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the limited data we collect to understand how visitors use the tool, diagnose technical issues, respond to your messages, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Image Processing — Local Only
The core feature — image compression — is performed entirely within your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. This means your images are processed on your device only, no image data is ever transmitted to our servers, and when you close or refresh the page all image data is immediately cleared from memory.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, _gat) are used for anonymised usage statistics. You can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Google AdSense cookies are used to serve relevant advertisements. See Google's Advertising Policy.
5. Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits. You can opt out via Google Ad Settings.
6. Third-Party Services
We use Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and Google Fonts — each governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
7. Data Security
Since we do not store your images or personal data (beyond analytics and contact messages), our exposure to data breaches related to your content is minimal.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location you may have rights to access, delete, or opt out of your data. Contact us via our Contact page to exercise these rights.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
